Amor
About love and other devils
Sierva María is the unloved daughter of a crazy Creole Marquis
and a slave trader. The bite of a mad dog makes her the subject of bizarre quacks and fanatical clergymen who fear that she is possessed by the devil. However, a young priest cannot discover anything devilish about her, only pure love. The book written by the Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez, "About love and other devils", inspired Musica Extrema to make a new music program. The moving story of the untouchable and beautiful Sierva María is about romance, drama, love and despair. In Amor her story is told and is musically accompanied by the ensemble Musica Extrema. You will be taken on a journey by a dramatic story and by the most beautiful South American melodies and songs. Amor is the ninth theater program of Musica Extrema. Since its founding in 2003, the group has gone through a development that is truly remarkable. The orchestra has played on practically all large and small concert stages in the Netherlands and many countries across the globe including Russia, Argentina, Sweden, China and many more. Tour: 2020/2021 |
